LUBIO®Product Family

Through the use of our LUBIO®-additives, you can increase the longevity, performance and handling of your products. We have the right additive for almost every application and will be happy to advise you.

Additives for Plastics

Hydrolysis stabilizers prevent the degradation of polymers and lubricants caused by water or acids, thereby increasing their service life.

Antioxidants protect polymers and lubricants from degradation caused by oxygen or other oxidising substances.

Flame retardants are able to protect plastics from the spread of fire by forming a passivating layer over the plastic.

Plasticisers help to make polymer systems softer, more flexible and more elastic in use or during further processing.

UV stabilisers are able to protect plastics and lubricants from undesirable, light-induced ageing processes by absorbing light.

Metal deactivators prevent the oxidative degradation of polymers by inhibiting the catalytic effects of metal ions.

Additives for Lubricants

Anti-corrosion additives protect the surface of metals by forming a protective layer that keeps oxygen and water away.

AW additives (wear protection additives) reduce the friction between metal surfaces moving against each other and thus reduce abrasion.

Metal deactivators are able to reduce the catalytic properties of metal surfaces by passivating metal ions on the metal surface.

Adhesion improvers, also known as tackifiers, improve the adhesion of oils and lead to thread tension to reduce oil spillage.

High-pressure additives can significantly improve the tribological properties of lubricants under high pressure by forming a layer on the contact surface.

Functional fluids are the basic components for the production of lubricants, heat transfer oils, rust protection oils and saw chain oils.

Additives for Rubber

Crosslinkers of the LUBIO® Sulfosafe series form disulfide bonds between the polymer chains during the vulcanisation process, thereby improving the material properties and mechanical stability. The degree of cross-linking has an effect on the properties of the rubber.

By the vulcanisation accelarators from the LUBIO® NCL series, the cross-linking of rubber products can be both accelerated and controlled. These catalysts are based on a newly developed cluster technology that can reduce the amount of sulfur in the vulcanisation process.

Catalysts

Catalysts based on organic phosphorus compounds catalyse the cross-linking of isocyanates to carbodiimides. The LUBIO® Polykat series catalysts can thus convert aromatic as well as aliphatic isocyanates to carbodiimides.
