Metal Deactivators can prevent undesirable chemical reactions by binding metal ions in complexes, thereby extending the service life of lubricants. The metal deactivators of the LUBIO® MD series include LUBIO® MD 1, which is a triazole derivative that is suitable for use in metalworking fluids (MWF). LUBIO MD 3, which is also based on a triazole derivative, is suitable for this application as well as for use in motor oils. LUBIO® MD 6 is a heterocyclic sulphur compound for use in MWFs, gear oils, compressor oils and hydraulic oils.
