Antioxidants

Antioxidants are an important part of Schäfer Additivsysteme's product portfolio. For the polymer and lubricant industry, antioxidants are a crucial building block for the formulation of long-lasting products. By choosing the right antioxidant, the foundation can be laid for the stabilisation of the respective system.

Antioxidants in the polymer industry specifically slow down undesirable oxidative decomposition processes, which can lead to discolouration and even loss of usability of plastics. Antioxidants also protect against thermally induced ageing and thus serve as process stabilisers during plastics processing. Antioxidants act as radical scavengers or reducing agents.

Antioxidants of the LUBIO® AO series are suitable for use in a variety of polymers such as polyesters, PU/TPU or PVC. The product portfolio of primary and secondary antioxidants for use in plastics includes low- and high-molecular phenolic antioxidants, phosphite-based antioxidants and aminic antioxidants. We also offer complex and synergistic AO systems.

LUBIO® AO 40 rundet unser Produktportfolio ab. Als natürliches Antioxidans auf Basis nachwachsender Rohstoffe stellt LUBIO® AO 40 eine biobasierte Option für verschiedenste Anwendungen dar. LUBIO® AO 40 eignet sich für den Einsatz in Polyolefinen (PE, PP), biobasierten Polyestern (PLA, PBS, PCL) und natürlichem Gummi (NR).
