Hydrolysis Stabilization has accompanied Schäfer Additivsysteme since the company was founded. The stabilizers of the LUBIO Hydrostab and Hystab series protect plastics and lubricants against hydrolytic degradation initiated by water and acids. The LUBIO Hydrostab series is characterized by effective and long-term protection based on polymeric carbodiimides. In addition, the additives of the LUBIO Hystab series include hydrolysis stabilizers that are produced from renewable raw materials and are therefore 100% bio-based. The use of our hydrolysis protection additives enables polymers to retain their mechanical and physical properties even when exposed to water, elevated temperatures or the presence of acids over longer periods of time. With Schäfer Additivsysteme, users in the polymer industry can be confident that their products will achieve longer life and improved reliability through our specialized hydrolysis protection.
