UV Stabilizers

UV Stabilizers increase the resistance of coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers to ultraviolet radiation and delay the light-induced degradation of polymeric materials. They reduce the formation of high-energy radicals that are produced by UV exposure and can lead to embrittlement, yellowing, cracking, or loss of mechanical properties.

UV-Stabilisatoren in CASE-Systemen serve to maintain the chemical and mechanical stability of polymer-based materials under prolonged UV exposure. They work either by absorbing UV radiation and converting it into lower-energy heat, or by intercepting and deactivating free radicals that are produced during photooxidative aging. This slows down degradation processes in the polymer matrix and prevents premature loss of functional properties. The use of UV stabilizers is therefore crucial to ensure the service life, visual appearance, and functionality of CASE products, especially in outdoor applications or under intense light exposure.

Discover our product portfolio

UV-stabilizers of the LUBIO® UV-Series are suitable for use in a wide range of polymer-based systems in the CASE sector, including polyester, PU/TPU, polyamides, and PVC. The product portfolio includes both UV absorber and radical scavengers (HALS), enabling targeted adaptation to different requirements for coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.

In the field of UV absorbers, both benzotriazole containing and benzotriazole-free solutions based on, for example Triazine or Cyanoacrylates, are part of our portfolio. In addition, the LUBIO® UV series offers a wide selection of HALS-Systems, which are available in both low-molecular and high-molecular versions to ensure effective stabilization against photo-oxidative degradation in different polymer matrices.
