Hydrolysis protection has been a core focus at Schäfer Additive Systems since the company's founding and is one of our key strengths. The stabilizers in our LUBIO® Hydrostab and Hystab series protect polymers from hydrolytic degradation initiated by water and acids. The LUBIO® Hydrostab series is distinguished by its effective and long-term protection based on polymeric carbodiimides. Complementing this, the additives in the LUBIO® Hystab series include hydrolysis stabilizers produced from renewable raw materials, making them predominantly or entirely bio-based. By using our hydrolysis protection additives, polymers can retain their mechanical and physical properties over extended periods, even under exposure to water, elevated temperatures, or the presence of acids.
